The global kickoff of the anniversary year “125 years of Klingspor” took place on 31 January 2018 – living up to the promise of its anniversary claim “Worldwide. Strong.” All 36 Klingspor locations on six continents, with over 3,000 employees, took part. 

The task was for the employees at all the company’s sites to jointly implement a creative (birthday-themed) action. The only condition was that they had to make use of the anniversary balloons and posters provided. The response wildly exceeded expectations.

Wow – we’re still totally blown away. In the course of the day (and the turning of the earth after the sun set here), we received an incredible number of one-of-a-kind responses from the countries around the world. There were so many things to admire in all the astounding photos, videos and presentations: 

•Luscious cakes with delicate marzipan creations, sausages and chops from the grill and fine local delicacies. 

•People sporting yellow T-shirts, in typical national dresses or elaborate costumes.

•Fantastic photos in front of and inside local landmarks, lovingly crafted yellow and golden decorations, flags and banners.

•Dancing, music, singing and good times together. And even a traditional tree-planting at one site.

•Lots of yellow balloons, still in hand or ascending into blue summer or grey winter skies. Games with balloons. And fantastically conceived creations on the theme of our anniversary number 125.

So much creativity! So much energy! We could feel the enormous enthusiasm everywhere. The joy and pleasure of celebrating this great occasion together with colleagues.

We’re extremely proud of all sites on all six continents. 

We hear you loud and clear: our anniversary slogan more than just hot air. KLINGSPOR IS A STRONG TEAM AROUND THE WORLD.
