To celebrate the Farbe trade show in Cologne, a central-German paint and painting supplies distributor invited some 80 very special guests to a highly entertaining evening in a traditional beer hall on 22 March.

welcome GmbH was entrusted with organising the evening, including the framework programme. Once all the guests had sated their appetites at a rustic buffet with plenty of Kölsch beer, they were regaled with the spectacular show “Willkommen in Köln. Das kulturelle Dreigestirn”. This little sister of the programme “Köln ist ein Gefühl” features a triumvirate of performers (the “Dreigestirn”) that regaled the audience with a medley of local Cologne songs, improv comedy and global chart-busters.

The audience responded with wild enthusiasm to the truly unique vocals of musical star Marion Wilmer and the spontaneous comedy of Gabi Weiss alias Irmgard Knüppel had them virtually rolling in the aisles with her anecdotes of her life in food service. Antje von Wrochem, alias Felicitas von Wrobel, was the glorious third, and this beloved Cologne entertainer accompanied her two co-performers with verve and passion to link tradition, comedy and classics. The audience expressed their boundless appreciation in boisterous standing ovations.
