On 13 and 14 March 2018, “Gesundheitskongress des Westens”, the leading conference on healthcare policy and the healthcare industry in western Germany, drew 1,000 professionals from all segments of the German healthcare industry to Cologne.

This year, welcome GmbH supported WISO S. E. Consulting GmbH in organising and carrying out this annual conference for the seventh year in a row. Since 2012, we’ve been responsible for the areas of participant and speaker management, exhibitor support and conference organisation. We also maintain the event website including the online registration tool, which enables state-of-the-art automated participant management.

The motto of this year’s conference was, “The healthcare sector must converge!” and, in addition to healthcare policy, the conference focused on staffing, digitalisation, financing and caregiving. The conference was opened by Karl-Josef Laumann, Minister of Health of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the audience in Cologne’s venerable Gürzenich Hall included not only top managers from hospitals, university clinics and rehabilitation facilities but also high-level representatives from politics, academia, and the health insurance and healthcare industries.

The event was once again an outstanding success, and we’re looking forward to continuing our working relationship with this extremely pleasant client, and to the coming year!
